After arriving from Manchester (EGCC) onboard Norwegian Air Shuttle (LN-NOL). I stayed at Gardermoen Airport Hotel for 1 night. The following day I done some spotting from the perimeter fence and the departures level at Gardermoen airport. Both locations offered interesting views of aircraft arriving and departing the airport.
From the entrance of the hotel, you could see aircraft climbing off and could achieve some good side shots. Unfortunately the weather was dull and the clouds were low during my visit, so most aircraft was only visible for a couple of seconds.
Airside Arrivals
After disembarking the plane and proceeding through passport control, views of aircraft parked at the gate are achievable. I arrived in to Oslo on two occasions and was able to photograph Norwegian and SAS 737's parked. The general aviation parking area could be seen with a Norwegian 787 Dreamliner and SAS 737 parked up.

Airside Departures
Once you have checked in and proceeded through airport security. Have that camera ready! As you pass the gates, you'll find aircraft parked and just waiting to be photographed. The majority of the windows are clean and shots are achievable from inside the terminal. I visited most gates and took pictures without any problems. Unfortunately Norwegian's 787 Dreamliner flight to Fort Lauderdale was not in an open gate area and picturing this meant shooting through 2 glass panels.

Departures Level
From the departures level at Oslo Gardermoen, views of the international gate area, one of the airports runways and general aviation parking can be seen. A lens between 50mm - 300mm is required for different movements and aircraft types.
I spotted here on 2 occasions, during my visit I seen a variety of aircraft. Whilst I mainly seen Norwegian and SAS, I also photographed KLM, Thomas Cook and Austrian. Whilst spotting at this location, I wasn't approached by any airport officials and enjoyed a good few hours spotting.

Perimeter Fence
Our airport hotel was located off the E16, across from Norwegian Armed Forces Aircraft Collection. I walked alongside NAFAC for around 10 minutes and was able to see god views of the runway. Aircraft could be seen landing, taxing and climbing off.
This runway was used for most departures including Norwegian 787, Hi-Fly A330, Thai 777 and most of the smaller Airbus and Boeing aircraft from British Airways, Norwegian and SAS. Weather and visibility was poor and therefore I wasn't happy with the quality of my images front his location. I intend to visit this location again, when hopefully their may be some blue skies!
SAS Museum
I was advised by the airport information desk, that spotting was achievable from the SAS Museum. I did not manage to visit this museum and hope to on a future visit.
